AUMA: Augsburg and Freiburg the latest to become new members

Augsburger Schwabenhallen Messe- und Veranstaltungsgesellschaft and Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe are the latest new members of AUMA – the association of the German trade fair industry.
The AUMA board of directors approved their admission as members at its most recent meeting in December, which took place in Hanover.
For more than 35 years, Messe Augsburg has provided a platform for exchange between business, research, science, politics, and administration. Around 65 events take place each year, of which more than half are specialist trade fairs, with one quarter geared towards end consumers. The exhibition grounds cover seven halls, spanning an area of roughly 48,000 square metres, and an outdoor space of 10,000 square metres.
Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe operates three event centres in Germany’s very Southwest. Alongside the exhibition centre itself, the company also holds a concert hall and the Historisches Kaufhaus (historic department store). Messe Freiburg features four exhibition halls spanning some 21.5000 square meters, as well as an outdoor area covering 80,000 square metres.
AUMA is the association of the German trade fair industry. Acting both internationally and nationally, it represents the interests of all large and medium-sized exhibition companies in Germany, international event organisers in Germany, and the associations that represent exhibitors, service companies and trade fair visitors.
