IMPACT Exhibition Management is gearing to bring more prosperous opportunities

21.02.2023

In line with the official reopening of China and the satisfactory health of the global business events market heading into 2023, IMPACT Exhibition Management accelerates its business momentum and regains strength in the local and international exhibition market that draws 186 events during the first quarter with profits surpassing last year’s numbers in the same quarter.

Paul Kanjanapas, chief executive officer of IMPACT Exhibition Management, says the global exhibition industry will cherish a progressive comeback according to a research by Grand View Research. From 2023 onwards, a healthy graph will climb higher in the years ahead and reach its peak in 2031 with an estimate of 6.6 percent each year, particularly in incentives. The business events industry in Asia is second to none. Last year, the event and exhibition market grew by 43.2 percent and has continued to grow ever since largely due to a true digital transformation that allows people with travel constraints or heath concerns to engage virtually along with strict health and safety protocols enforced by the government and support from the private sector.

The outlook of the event industry in 2022 looked promising. A total number of local and international events spiked given the fact that the government lifted the Covid-19 travel ban and allowed business to resume. China’s reopening bumped up demand for travel. The moves come as the government has seen a significant improvement of Covid-19 situations nationwide and worldwide.

The world is facing the great resignation. The coronavirus outbreak caused millions of people to lose their jobs, and now companies including IMPACT are on the hunt for well-versed candidates who have a good work ethic. Recruiting quality candidates to fill in open positions needs to be done immediately to ensure smooth business operations.

Firm handshakes, smiles, and human connections are the lifeblood of the business events industry. That’s why nothing can replace the power of face-to-face interactions. Events professionals and attendees still find ample benefits that the face-to-face events can offer and provide the opportunity to interact with your content and your brand. Technology will never replace human labor. Companies at large still have to have their goods produced by human hands. Apart from short staffing issues, there are other challenges that await us down the road.

IMPACT will find ways to bump up the number of events locally, regionally, and internationally to remain globally competitive. New to our event is VIV Asia 2023 where is the biggest and most complete feed to food event in Asia, dedicated to the world of livestock production and all related sectors, held biennially, and taking place from March 8-10, 2023 on a 60,000-squre-meter Challenger halls 1-3.

With a progressive comeback together with a steady surge of events expected in 2023, the company’s profitability should match or eclipse the 2019 number. The first quarter alone (January – March,) IMPACT can secure nearly 186 events, which is equivalent to 510 million baht, over the pre-pandemic numbers.

Loy Joon How, general manager of the IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, added “we are anticipating that the business events industry will continue on its progressive comeback trail to pre-pandemic levels. We will see an increase in the number of events and participants brought about by the return of in-person events. Small events are losing their grip while large events are reclaiming the crown.

In 2022, IMPACT successfully held 1,384 events, jumped 6.25% compared to the previous year, which was 32.62 percent.
