ICC Sydney welcomes next generation of industry talent


International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, hosted its annual Careers Insights event on Thursday 20 April

Students from the University of Technology Sydney’s (UTS) event management school will hear about the many career paths available not only at ICC Sydney but in the business events industry at large.

Geoff Donaghy, CEO of ICC Sydney and Group Director - Convention Centres, ASM Global (APAC), considers such insight and training opportunities vital to ensuring the industry's sustained growth and success.
"At ICC Sydney, we are dedicated to future-proofing our world class venue and services by investing in the next generation of event professionals. Programs like the Careers Insights event delivered for UTS students are a key part of this strategy.

“By nurturing emerging talent from all backgrounds, we're ensuring our industry stays innovative and relevant in a rapidly changing world. We believe in empowering the next generation to build fulfilling careers that contribute to the progress and sustainability of our industry," Mr Donaghy said.

ICC Sydney’s Careers Insights event was designed to offer the students attending an opportunity to gain access to industry leaders and professionals, including ICC Sydney’s Director of Events Services, Malu Barrios, Director of Culinary Services, Lynell Peck and Director of Human Resources, Luke Fleming who led the presentation.
