Ladies and Gentlemen,

The importance of trade fairs for our entire economy became clear to us during the pandemic, when turnstiles stopped and the exhibition halls remained empty for months. Not only trade fair companies and numerous service providers were faced with existential difficulties, our strongly export-oriented companies also lacked important international sales platforms for their products and innovations during this period. So, I am very pleased that the communicative and dynamic trade fair industry has come back to life again. Especially now it is an important motor for economic growth. As we can see, exhibitors and visitors still rely very strongly on face-to-face contacts and physical product presentations. Trade shows will therefore remain an indispensable sales channel in the future, constantly adapting to customer needs with new digital features.

Of course, they still face huge challenges – ranging from soaring energy prices and general inflation, to supply chain difficulties and a shortage of skilled professionals. But I am convinced that the trade show industry will even be able to overcome these obstacles. In the past, it has already demonstrated its great versatility and its ability to adapt to new
developments and challenges.

For the past 25 years, “Trade Fairs International” has accompanied the industry through all the ups and downs, with comprehensive and in-depth reporting on all important developments and global trends. The useful practical tips are particularly valuable for small and medium-sized companies to successfully participate in national and international trade fairs.

Therefore, I would like to wish “Trade Fairs International” every success for the future and all its readers lots of exciting trade fair experiences and fruitful business. It would be a great pleasure for me to welcome you in person to one of Bavaria’s numerous leading international trade fairs and industry shows.

Hubert Aiwanger
