MTO Days (Make-to-Order Days) will be launching
in June next year at Messe Stuttgart.

A buyers’ fair for precision parts, make-to-order manufacturing and metal cutting, MTO Days is aimed at decision-makers in future-oriented industries. These include mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and renewable energy, with the central focus being on make-to-order precision manufacturing. This is a sector where there is currently huge pressure to innovate and adapt. “Technology-driven disruption, geopolitical challenges and the rapid transformation of entire industrial sectors mean that many manufacturing companies have a lot to face up to,” explains Roland Bleinroth, one of the managing directors of Messe Stuttgart. “Make-to-Order Days is a platform with a keen focus on these changes,” he argues. “And it’s a platform that addresses the needs of various industrial sectors specifically,” he adds.
MTO Days brings together suppliers of precision manufacturing technology and industrial users in high-growth industries such as defence or robotics. The intention is to position the trade fair as a new specialist procurement platform for strategic networking, innovation and business initiation. MTO Days will be held concurrently with other events, the trade fairs CastForge and Battery Show Europe, which is seen as an advantage that could result in valuable synergies for both exhibitors and trade fairgoers. As Messe Stuttgart points out, this applies in particular to adjacent technology sectors in which precision manufacturing plays a central role. Much emphasis is placed on how this combination of trade fairs will add value and stimulate interdisciplinary exchanges at the trade fair centre.
In addition to offering all the attributes of a conventional trade fair, MTO Days will also have a multifaceted accompanying programme of events. A trade forum address will address current themes around digitalisation and high-precision manufacturing as well as general manufacturing trends, and these developments will be examined in a practice-oriented approach. A central networking area and separate meeting rooms will offer ideal conditions for face-to-face exchanges and confidential conversations. Make-to-Order Days will be making its debut on 9 and 10 June 2026.
Messe Stuttgart maintains a future-oriented focus and is targeting further business growth. The trade fair team is already giving intense consideration to new themes and event formats: “As a trade fair company, our purpose is to bring supply and demand together,” explains Stefan Lohnert, who is another of the managing directors of Messe Stuttgart. “We work on that with a great deal of creativity and market knowledge.” That involves continuously coming up with new products. One example is the trade fair Efx (Expo for Electronics Manufacturing), which will be launched at the end of 2026. Existing platforms are being further developed, as well.
